Lindsay Rafuse MSW, RSW PMH-C

Lindsay is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services workers as well as a member of the Canadian Association of Social Workers. She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with her Masters in Social Work in 2015 with specialization in Individuals, Families, and Groups.

Lindsay is Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) and is passionate in supporting individuals as the navigate their way through parenthood – and all the ups and downs that come with it. As a mother of two young children herself, this is a topic of great importance to Lindsay, both personally and professionally. It takes a village to raise a little person in this world – every parent deserves to have the same and to not just survive parenthood but find joy in it! In addition to her work with the prenatal and postnatal population, Lindsay also supports individuals experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, body image and disordered eating concerns, stress, self-esteem/self-worth, as well as emotion regulation and helping individuals through major life transitions. Lindsay supports individuals ages 16 years and up.

Recognizing that every individual is unique, Lindsay offers a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy. Lindsay is also trained in Mindful Self-Compassion and weaves this into her work with clients. In collaboration, you and Lindsay will work together to decide which approach, or combination of approaches, will best fit your needs. Lindsay sees her role as your guide in navigating whatever circumstances you are facing. She sits alongside her clients through their journey. In her work, she helps you to identify your own strengths and resilience to overcome life’s challenges.
